Tampa Bay Buccaneers Information

Obtaining great Buccaneers Tickets has always proven to be a very difficult process, with many people settling for sub-par seating far away from the action - hardly worth even going to the game! We know you want to get down close and support the Buccaneers, and the tickets are out there, you just have to know where to look...

2007-08 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Desperate for improvement, Tampa Bay campaigned hard for Calvin Johnson during the draft. As Fourth overall pick, the Bucs had to settle for Clemson defensive end Gaines Adams. However, settle is too strong a word, as Adams is an amazing pass rusher - probably the best in the draft. The question remains wether he can stop the run and pressure the QB properly. On the offensive side of things, there is no proven commodity, and the starter has limited receivers at his disposal. The defense looks a bit better, but is getting up there in age. Hopefully Adams will turn things around for Tampa Bay, as they have been depending solely on Cadillac Williams. Jeff Garcia's impact will be interesting to see as well, as he's got the energy and leadership ability. Bucs tickets will be interesting to have, simply to see up close if Tampa Bay has what it takes to get out of the basement this season.

Previous Seasons

2005-2006 Tampa Bay Buccaneers tickets experienced a long awaited resurgence when the Buccaneers rebounded to win the NFC South and reach the playoffs. When Brian Griese suffered an injury, quarterback Chris Simms led the team to their successful season, teaming with wide receiver Joey Galloway for 10 touchdowns. Running back Carnell Williams’ 1,100-yard rushing season earned him the Offensive Rookie of the Year award, and head coach Jon Gruden leads a competitive Tampa Bay team into the postseason.

After the Buccaneers joined the National Football League in 1976, their first several trips to the playoffs showed signs of a team that looked to make immediate impact in the league. However, their loss to the Cowboys in the first round of the 1982 playoffs set the stage for 13 consecutive losing seasons. Fans in Tampa Bay had little reason to cheer, and Buccaneers football tickets faced trouble. The hiring of head coach Tony Dungy helped put the team on the map of some of the strongest teams in the NFL, and Dungy turned the team into a contender with running back Warrick Dunn. However, it was a strong defense that featured the talents of Derrick Brooks and Warren Sapp that helped the team reached the playoffs in four of Dungy’s five seasons.

Because of the team’s reputation of poor play in the postseason, Gruden replaced Dungy in 2002. The move for a new head coach resulted in instant success, and the Buccaneers played in their first Super Bowl, ending the city’s 25-year struggle to achieve football greatness. Gruden defeated his previous team, the Oakland Raiders, behind the passing duo of quarterback Brad Johnson and wide receiver Keenan McCardell and a tenacious defense that returned two interceptions for touchdowns. However, the victory in Super Bowl XXXVII gave fans in Tampa Bay a false hope. The Buccaneers lost some of the keys to their strong defense and suffered through back-to-back losing seasons.

As the Buccaneers move into the postseason, the team hopes to rebuild the success of just three years ago with a solid offensive attack that served them well throughout the regular season. While the young members of this year’s team will continue their NFL success, they will look to the veterans who also played on the championship team to lead them into the postseason. Fullback Mike Alstott and defensive end Simeon Rice hope to use their experience to dominate other NFC opponents, and Buccaneers ticket holders look forward to more playoff appearances in the future.
