2007-08 Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Desperate for improvement, Tampa Bay campaigned hard for Calvin Johnson during the draft. As Fourth overall pick, the Bucs had to settle for Clemson defensive end Gaines Adams. However, settle is too strong a word, as Adams is an amazing pass rusher - probably the best in the draft. The question remains wether he can stop the run and pressure the QB properly. On the offensive side of things, there is no proven commodity, and the starter has limited receivers at his disposal. The defense looks a bit better, but is getting up there in age. Hopefully Adams will turn things around for Tampa Bay, as they have been depending solely on Cadillac Williams. Jeff Garcia's impact will be interesting to see as well, as he's got the energy and leadership ability. Bucs tickets will be interesting to have, simply to see up close if Tampa Bay has what it takes to get out of the basement this season.
Previous Seasons
2005-2006 Tampa Bay Buccaneers tickets experienced a long awaited resurgence when the Buccaneers rebounded to win the NFC South and reach the playoffs. When Brian Griese suffered an injury, quarterback Chris Simms led the team to their successful season, teaming with wide receiver Joey Galloway for 10 touchdowns. Running back Carnell Williams’ 1,100-yard rushing season earned him the Offensive Rookie of the Year award, and head coach Jon Gruden leads a competitive Tampa Bay team into the postseason.
